I put a cheque into lloyds yesterday and that was ok. I then asked to open a monthly regular saver, there was only 1 other customer in and two serving assistants. I was asked to take a seat. 20 minutes later was still sitting there in full view of the chatting assistants. So I left as they obviously couldn`t care less
Now I am 5 foot and was wearing an everyday fleece jacket and I do have grey hair. Would it have made a difference if I were 6`, male and wearing a suit. Probably yes. These people have no idea what goes on in a person`s life. I actually handle a very great deal of money on a daily basis and am very financially astute.
If they knew they would have come running. I am thinking about writing to head office.

Why not open up accounts on line. Much easier to manage your savings and bank account on line.
I use Halifax and Lloyds. Halifax is best site IMO though Lloyds have improved theirs.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I opened mine on line. If I hit any problem I ring them up and they sort it. The downside of ringing is that sometimes you get the dreaded Indian call centre and they are awful. They cannot sort anything out. OH wanted replacement debit card because his had expired and new one hadn't arrived. He just kept getting "very sorry about that it was sent out on the 1.12.06" no matter how many times OH "well it hasn't arrived so can you please send me a new one and make sure that the other one is not active". He gave up after 15 minutes rang back got an English chap and was done in 2 minutes.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Kittie why didn't you go up to them and point out how long you'd been waiting and ask how much longer you'd be expected to wait?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
