Kitchen & Bathroom Paint

Hi,

We're getting the keys to our new house on Friday :j and need to do a wee bit of decorating/freshening up before we move in.

In the past I've used kitchen and bathroom paint but just wondered if 'normal' emulsion is ok to use?

The reason being is that I have half a tin of Dulux emulsion in Natural Hessian - think it's luxurious silk finish, and think it would be enough to freshen up the bathroom, however wasn't sure if it would be suitable.

Second plan is to buy the bathroom paint, by Dulux again, in the same colour, paint the bathroom, then use the rest (along with the half tin I have) to paint one of the bedrooms. Any problems with using specific bathroom paint elsewhere?

Sorry for the long post but when faced with so many choices of paint, I start to panic :D

No expert painters out there I guess. Thanks anyway, will just use the paint and hope for the best (or ask in B&Q)!

Hi, I'm also planning to paint my bathroom - Hessian was one of my choices too - and have been looking into bathroom paint.

2.5 litres seems to cost about £23 most places- does anyone know of any discount codes that I can use to get some, or some cheaper than this?

I am no expert but I wonder about the wisdom of using two paints of the same colour but different finish in the same room? I think the bathroom is likely to have a slightly different (shinier?) finish owing to its moisture-resistant quality. Standard emulsion is likely to look more matt.
