saving word doc to pdf

Does anyone know of a website that'll tell in simple steps, how to save a word document into a pdf file.

(I want to send a word doc via email, but don't want the receiver to be able to change the document, so thought this might be the best way)

I've down loaded the ghostscript file from the cutepdf site..but now really don't know how to convert my word documents.. anyone know where i can get simple instructions??

you print to the pdf writer device, then you get prompted for a file.

Is this correct?:
first..open up the word file.
next: file..print...
then: in print dialogue box select pdf printer??? ..can't find it

must be doing something wrong!

Another idea (although you may consider it a sledgehammer to crack a nut): Openoffice.org can open, edit, and save Word documents, and has the ability to export to PDF built in.
