Advice please

Husband bought a power pack for my car after my old one stopped working.

Link for the pack is below

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_180794_langId_-1_categoryId_165719#dtab

The pack was received after a week and there was no charge in it. Not an issue as may not have been used for a long time.

Charged the pack overnight and following morning showed the pack was fully charged.

One week later, went to check the pressure on my tyres and the pack is flat.

Recharged again and left for two days and the pack is flat again.

Have contacted the seller advising the pack would not hold its charge. A reply was received going into detail of the two occassions he had used the pack the week before sending it and stated the pack should hold its charge for at least a week.

The instructions on my previous pack (same model) said it had to be charged at least every six months if it had not been used during that time hence the reason for a plastic card being attached to the pack so you can indicate the month it last received a charge.

With past experience, and having looked at Q & A section on Halfords website and customer response is recharge around 3 months, am I being unreasonable going back to the seller requesting a refund as his advert did not state that the pack would not hold its charge. .

If it had I would certaintly not have bought it.

Many thanks

I assume its an ebay sale. Gg back to the seller and ask. If they refuse you can then open a dispute (open it in paypal not ebay). You would then have to send it back for a refund.

  • And if seller refuses then go to resolution centre and file a SNAD dispute.
