What small DFW things will you be doing today? Wed 3rd Aug July

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.!
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
:A
Well we had a horrible electricity bill shock yesterday...long story..so we'll be sorting that out and:
*Having an outdoors bbq. As we have loadsa surplus gas and nothing much left in the electric meter.
*Using candles for lighting later.
*Had a cold breakfast s'morning to save electricity.
*Going to spend a voucher.
*Having a long chat with my OH about what we can do to use virtually no electricity.
*Charged laptop and phones overnight.
*Planning what to do with my 4 days off that start today. :T

• Enter comps online
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds and vits to control hormones

Morning all, just running in quickly as I'm behind this morning. Trying to fit too much in before work again

So far:- HM granola for a filling breakfast
- fed and watered the chickens
- made bread dough and left it to rise whilst I'm at work
- soaked lentils to pad out tonight's chilli
- checked banking - the balance transfer amount has been taken off my CC2 so it's now accruing interest, yet it hasn't been credited to CC1 so I'm still paying interest there. Two lots of interest on the same £800 - that's not cricket!!!
- made lunch and snacks to take to work
- take bike to work as it uses very little petrol
- keep up with surveys during the day as I didn't get time this morning
- knit at lunchtime to avoid going out
- bake bread this evening
- dinnier from stores
- have an NSD
La E, DNMS and Candy - I did reply to all your questions when I got back from my friend's house last night so please check yesterday's thread for your replies!

Because on NSDs you can leave your purse at home and not be tempted to buy anything. Taking purse in on one day rather than 3 days. Of course if you are strict with yourself it makes NO difference. Come on mum, YOU taught ME this! xxxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0

Hello!
Today, I will:
-go to my four customers
-go to bank to pay in some money
-hoover
-pay the loan
-pay the council tax
-update my thread, today is the last day of the challenge
See you soon!0 -
Morning evryone, I'm still on holiday, nice not having to get up at 6! As i'm back home it's time to knuckle down and get some debts paid down to get closer to my moving down to the W Midlands goal.
Todays list.
Checked banking. Not very clever after my long weekend partying.
Shower.
All meals from house.
Will go to Lidle for milk, bread , tin foil and veg oil, NOTHING else.
Go visit mum and a couple of friends.
Go and visit a client in hospital.
Take dress back to Debenhams. Bought it in Brum and it's nice but can't relly justify £55 when I don't think i'd wear it much.
Have a look for my BH loan paperwork so I can ring them. Only 3 payments left so i'm gonna transfer money from my savings account (for moving) and pay it off early. Not gonna save me much in interest but I think I need the boost of having another debt gone at the moment. It will free up £150 a month so can put some back in savings and throw more money at Bcard.
College work (can't think about moving till this course (and maybe another) are finished as they will seriously up my job prospects).
List a few bits on Ebay.
Have a great MSE day everyone.0 -
