Trapped wind :(

Options
HI

Does anyone have any amazing cures for trapped wind, please? Been up three hours, woke at 01:30 in agony.

Started Dukan diet two days ago so assume it's that............ or rubling gallbladder but rumbling noises indicate otherwise!
Before you ask, yes, I work for a bank, but no, I didn't get a bonus!

Not an amazing cure but I tend to take a couple of glasses of water and just keep on the move as much as possible to let it work its way out :)
I have been up since about 1:30 as well and have also had trapped wind but it seems to have dissipated but not yet come out :o

Go down on all fours (like a cat). Lower shoulders to the ground so bottom is in the air. stay in that position for a few minutes if possible & it often help to release the wind.

I second the drinking water thing - get the peristalsis action going.

These good old yoga techniques will always work :D !

To prevent it in the first place, eat slowly (don't gulp food down) and drink plenty of fluids at the same time. Avoiding high fibre grains will help to.

Mint tea works wonders. I try to drink a mug with each meal and one in the evening. :)
