Well some sucess tonight. Logged on to a neighbouring local authority website tonight and discovered that they have 2 x £1 sessions each day during the summer holidays. My local pool in the neighbouring local authority is only 3 miles away so I'll head there tomorrow, just a shame I'm using a neighbouring facility rather than my own local authority pool.

It costs us £15 for our family of 4..... I feel ripped off :(
  • In our area we the council still have it free for under 6's. Adults are £3.70. I get in £2.55 for being a volunteer for the local council. Sessions are 45 minutes when busy but we've never been asked to leave before. Usually stay no longer than 1 1/2 as our 2.5 year old is flogging a bit then and ready for his drink and biscuit in the cafe.

I'm not surprised, that's extortianate. We have Wet and Wild near here, water theme park and it doesn't cost much more than that for a day there.
  • For only 45 mins, when I was a kid (not that long ago) you paid and could stay for the whole session!

Not near a lake or the coast are you? Free swimming!

We're only 6 miles from the coast, unfortunately even at this time of year the north sea + kids does not = swimming. Far too cold. :rotfl:
