  • just picked up a couple of the Gastons Cave playsets (from the Ben and Holly cartoon).....£5.99 each from Perry Barr in Birmingham.

The cheapest I can see these is about £13 on amazon so a good bargain.
  • Popped into Home Bargains at the weekend.

    Some nice stocking fillers:-
Hand warmers (re-useable) in cute hot water bottles 99p
Wheat packs (The size/shape will go around your neck) £1.99
A full set of both hand a feet warmer packs in beige, pink or blue £6.99

Home Bargains have an online store, but some items are available instore, others (like large multi buys of chocolates) have to be ordered.

They also had a large jute bag for gardeners to grow herbs etc. about £2.49,if they have no large garden space. Bag might be useful for other things.

Ah yes, I got one of these last time I went on an adventure(?!) there!
Currently using it as a potato storage bag instead of the cotton type ones, making one looks simple but not for me, a crafty type I am not! :p
  • HI, not sure if this thread includes the online store but Ive just got a Yo Gabba Gabba DJ Lance boombox playset for £9.99 and only £2.99 p&p. The same item is on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mega-Bloks-Yo-Gabba-Boombox/dp/B0027I3CRG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319805654&sr=8-1 and play.com http://www.play.com/Toys/Toys/4-/10422498/Mega-Bloks-Yo-Gabba-Gabba-Boombox-With-Brobee-And-Foofa-Figures/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=gabba+gabba+mega+bloks&urlrefer=search for double and triple that price.
I spent last year hunting for a battery operated hamster! I wonder what elusive gift this christmas will bring
  • Bigger sized bargain: Gtech st04 cordless grass trimmer 29.99. Priced at 44.99 on Amazon.
Also a Gtech hedge trimmer same price, not sure of model number.
--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---
  • Also Enliven mini hand sanitizers at 10p each, regular or aloe vera, useful for car, baby bag etc...

  • Mini Oreo halloween pack..59p ( also includes 40p voucher for next purchase)
In Home Bargains I bought boxes (six pack) of Mini Oreos. On the boxes there was a voucher for 40p off next purchase so I bought some more!!!!
59p was cheap any way at 10p a pack, I think they are normally over a pound.
    Even better for 19P !!
Bought enough for the whole Halloween weekend!!!!

I bought some yesterday and then rang the store in Llandudno to see if I could use the 40p vouchers on the 59p Halloween Oreos they sell. They said they can only be used on normal 6 pack boxes which they do not sell.
They are sold in Tesco and ASDA but they cost £1.45 so it would still be cheaper just to buy them at Home bargains without the voucher.

Maybe some Home bargains will accept them

They also had (in Penny Lane, Liverpool) the "barking" Gaston plush toys for £3.99!!
Couldn't resist getting one for my little boy even though he reckons he's too big for Ben and Holly now, he wanted it a few months back from John Lewis but I wouldn't get it cos it was about £15!!
  • Went into the Kettering Home Bargains today and found Olay Total Effects Touch of Concealer Eye Cream for £2.99. Later had to go into Boots and the same product was in there for £18.99!!! Had to go back to Home Bargains and get some!
