    Final update hopefully!! We got the money back!!! PR company phoned yesterday to say that the hotel had agreed to refund us and checked statement this morning and money has gone in! I would love to know exactly what was said between hotel, PR company and bank but I don't think i'll ever find out... Will be closing that account though just incase they decide to try and take it again!

    Thank you for sharing your story as it has made me (and hopefully many others) think about how we use our credit cards. I will definitely get a pre paid card for my next holiday........which I intend to win, of course!
