Talktalk not working internet and phone

I am with talktalk and our phone and broadband stoped working. We rang them up an after a long time we got through they wernt helpful. we got through to a man on th technical team who was very helpful. but we were told to tethem if its fixed, it wasnt. after this we didnt hear anything. we have tried to call them. but no sucess. they havent sent out an engineer and nothing has been done. what should we do? We are switing to bt but we need this problem fixed.

If both the phone and broadband services are dead this would tend to indicate a problem at the exchange or with the line itself.
You report this to the company to whom you pay line rental and it's their responsibility to get it fixed.
If you migrate away while it's broken then it may or may not come back to life with the new supplier, who then becomes responsible for sorting it out.0 -

if you ignore the broadband just for now and treat this as a phone fault, you should be able to log the fault via the automated telephone system (IVR). Have you tried this?

I am not sure but yesterday we were contacted back and tried to see if there was a fault with the adsl box there wasnt. so they gave us a number to arrange a mperson to come and fix it but contacting this costly number is impposible.0 -
