Contract Monthly Reduction Phone call

Has anyone phoned up a company on a contract informing them that you can't afford the current price and wish to lower it, Im wanting to do this with my Mobile Phone company but im a little lost on what to say or expect.

I can 'just afford it' but I feel about £2/3 on food a day is a bit low, i'm very tempted to make the phone call but am completely lost as how to approach it.

I have heard stories about people asking to reduce there bill this month to add it on top of next months bill.

Are you still in your minimum contract period? That will make a big difference. You might find people with more experience on this in the mobile phone forum. Best to tell them the network and tariff that you are on.
