All the Christmas cards are down and ready for recycling. The Christmas table decorations are away only the tree left to go. That was going to come down today by OH been called into work and I can't get the boxes down from the attic to put everything away in so it'll come down in the next day or two.
Glad to see the back of it!!
Bought new lights for my tree next year. My lights almost caught fire this year, luckily we were home and could smell them:o so they've been switched off for days. We couldn't take them off as we have a 7 foot tree plastered with decorations and the lights went on first. My new lights (140 flashing, twinkling jobs) cost me £5.25 in the sale yesterday:T~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Cant wait to take it down, but the kids want it to stay. Best real tree we've had, hardly any dropped needles even with a 3 yr old rearranging the decs that the cats and 20month old removing the bottom ones.
The council will take away real trees for recycling altho in past years has always been the week after xmas when people still have them up so hang around the streets for next month till people can be bothered to go to the tip!!Would love to be a "Yummy Mummy" but more a "Slummy Mummy"!!:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Twelfth night runs from the evening of the 5th until the evening of the 6th
taken from wikipedia
"The Twelve Days of Christmas and the associated evenings of those twelve days (Twelve-tide), are the festive days beginning the evening of Christmas Day (December 25) through the morning of Epiphany on (January 6). The associated evenings of the twelve days begin on the evening before the specified day. Thus, the first night of Christmas is December 25–26, and Twelfth Night is January 5–6."It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
