leaking roof

during strong winds, a couple of roof tiles (slate) got blown off my roof. after a few days the rain was dripping through the bathroom ceiling.

i phoned up my home insurance company and they said they would pay for the repair to the ceiling and roof tiles i just had to get quotes and pay £100 excess!

the only problem is that this was in February after a roofing firm didn't turn up twice and then i was out of the country for 4 months and totally forgot!

will the insurance firm still pay out after all this time?

thanks for any help

I don't see why not, although if there's been extra damage caused by the delay beyond what you originally claimed for, then don't expect them to pay for that.

But there's only one way to find out for sure - you'll have to contact them as we don't have a crystal ball.
