I am buying a car from trade car dealer but i was informed that the vehicle has taxation class as " Disabled " I am picking up the car on Saturday. I was told by the trader that car requires re registration. I have given the trader some money to tax the car and get it registered . My questions are as follows

1. Is it that straightforward
2. How long does take to re registered car from Disable to normal
3. Is it lawful to drive the car.

THanks
I owe £3233 @ 0%

Normally (what ever that is;)) it can be done in person at a local DVLA office.
My current car was previously 'disabled', was all sorted when I collected it.
As the DVLA office is not open on a Saturday then I would check with the trader it is done on the Friday afternoon.

when trader goes to dvla then he will have to fill in log book in his own name to tax it
this will put another name on list of keepers
this is the only way to change from disabled to plg or whatever they call it these days if log book not in insured name

You should supply the dealer with insurance in your own name to stop another keeper getting added.

It can all be done in person at a LVLO.
