Data Protection Issue - Advice Needed

My personal information was given to my ex when she answered my phone. It was a claim company acting on my behalf who was claiming mis sold PPI on credit card. When she asked what it was about they told her that it was for he acceptance form needed to be sent back for my credit card I had claimed for (and they told her the company name of credit card).
I have put a complaint in and they have accepted that they were in the wrong and offered to cancel there charges but I dont know to take this further or accept it and move on, as this is now costing me a lot more due to my ex looking into my finanances whcih she wouldnt have done if they hadnt made the mistake.
Thanks

How exactly has your ex-GF knowing who you have a CC with costing you alot more?0
-
She didnt know i had this CC, so thinks i am not being honest about my finances and didnt know about re claim so is now saying that she wants to go to court to settle.0

what was your ex doing with your phone?
She does not think you have been dishonest she is certain you were...0 -
We still live in the same house as we both own it. She answered my phone when I wasn't in the room.0

1) why is she answering your phone?
2) now you have broken up, your finances are nothing to do with her to tell her?
3) if she now wants to go to court to settle over something so ridiculous as being told you have submitted a PPI reclaim form then it was probably going to happen anyway, but over something different.
op -- you would be better off accepting their apology, make sure your complaint is official and moving on with the free fees being offered. Lives too short to be bothering with something that will ultimately have minimal affect on you. Plus, sounds like the next few months are gonne be stressful enough as it is

He doesn't say ex-GF, he just says ex, so could be ex-wife and it could be costing him more in divorce settlement?
ex-wife, ex-GF, makes no difference to any of my points.
Sounds like their current relationship is quite volatile so i'm sure if this wasn't it, something else would have ruffled her feathers anyway. Seems like he will have alot to deal with in the coming months without having to deal with complaints to the data protection commissioner that will unlikely benefit him any further.0 -

It does to any divorce settlement.0
