Line Rental Saver - when can I ditch BT?

Hi folks,
My line rental is currently with BT (Line Rental Saver), the 12 month period of which ends next month.
I'm looking to change provider, but can't work out when (or even if) I have to give notice to end a contract.
I realise that the account reverts to monthly payments after 12 months, but does any one know if I:
- need to cancel
- cancel before the end of the 12 months
- cancel after the 12 month pre-paid period?
I've contacted BT, but the call centre email reply I received doesn't actually answer the question.
Many thanks.

You shouldn't need to contact BT at all. Once you have chosen a new provider (many comparison sites available), they will complete the switch on your behalf, cancelling the BT rental for you.
Once the old contect is finished and all payments have been made, make sure you contact your bank and cancel any direct debit agreement to the original provider.0 -
Thanks for that Marco.

I'll probably wait until a couple of weeks before the end of my contract, and then submit the application to the new provider.0
