Costs of importing from USA

I currently run my own business and have been happy to source one of my best selling products from a UK manufacturer. Even though the cost of the material has gone up significantly over the past 6 months, my manufacturer has put his prices up well beyond this, so I am now looking abroad for the product. I have found a company in the US who do exactly the same thing at 2/3 cheaper than I am going to be paying now with the UK company. It has been many years since I imported from abroad, so can anyone tell me what fees I am liable for. I know that there is obviously delivery costs and VAT. There would also be import duties but how could I find out how much that would be before committing to purchasing? Is there anything else I would have to pay and need to factor into this?

Freight clearance charges and insurance, unless you can get CIF terms from your supplier.

Customs duty and anti dumping duty if applicable

Import VAT can be reclaimed subject to your normal recovery basis

Also, possibly license fees from BIS- all depends on what the goods are

You may need CE certification too? Also, don't forget electronics may use different voltages/frequencies. And warranties will be harder to redeem.
