Santander Bank charges

Hello
I am looking to claim back my bank changes from 2 santander accounts. I have just called them regarding getting a list of transactions and they said they can only send out full statements. So I need to send a letter to their data protection department. Has anyone done this before? is the address supplied on the forum correct? Its just it still says Abbey National still so Im a bit dubious to send a cheque to an address im not 100% sure is correct.
Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks

What charges? By all means try, but since the Test Case they're pretty much stonewalling everyone.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

I just read through the template and I cant see anywhere on it where it requests just the bank charges. Or am I reading it wrong??0

hi its the letter template for data protection request that you need, thats the one i used and for 2004-2006 i received a spreadsheet with a list of the charges already added up.:D for the other years i just received a copy of all the statements which i had to go through with a high lighter and add up all the charges myself, but that is the correct letter template that you need.good luck!0

Just seems a bit strange that it doesn't specifically ask for bank charges is all.0

It's a multi-stage process; firstly you ask for your statements so you can get the detailed breakdown of charges, then you send that to the bank requesting them to be refunded, then you argue with them ad infinitum.
Basically just follow this guide from this very site, and best of luck.
I managed to get £800 out of Halifax before the test case, but failed to get a penny out of Lloyds once the hold had been placed - I even went to the ombudsman with that one.
