Right firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place.
On Friday My Mum purchased a ticket from See tickets to see Red Hot Chili Peppers in Birmingham in November for my sisters 18th birthday present and we got the ticket she wanted.
I got this email stating that...
So My Mum does not know what to do. We couldn't buy the tickets on my sisters card because her card was not supported and my Mum can't afford another ticket and really doesn't know what to do. If anyone has any help with this problem it would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Darkshines.

In order to stop tickets being re-sold at higher than face value prices through secondary markets and ticket touts, entry on the night will only be given to ticket holders who have the original payment card used to make the booking along with the confirmation/receipt containing the same corresponding payment cardholders details. All tickets purchased together on
one payment card must arrive at the venue together with the cardholder. The cardholder must enter the venue also - tickets are non-transferable.

Can you not just take your mums credit card with you on the night?
If they're going to check anything it will the credit card against the booking ref - you shouldn't need additional id as well.0 -
Yeah that is what we are thinking to do bring the card and the email confirmation. I am just wondering if that will be okay.0

I bought tickets for my son and his friend so am in the same situation. I phoned the O2 and they said that the promotors made the conditions.
I am going to give him my card on the night - I can't believe the door staff are going to check too thoroughly with 10,000 people trying to get in.0 -

Make that 20K over 3 nights but whose counting? Another ridiculous idea thinking this will prevents touts from selling tickets at high prices.
Unless they get it through their heads that they need to put a mechanism where people can exchange tickets or get refunds if they operate a ticketless event and cant attend 6 months down the track, these events will not work in restricting high prices sought.0 -
I have seen this before but never been checked, maybe they do it at random. I have tickets for this gig too, can't wait!! Yeah take the card and you'll be fine, that's all I'm doingMember of Quidco and Dooyoo

I have been to event where all credit/debit cards have been checked; some are checked at random or they have not been checked at all. It is really difficult to predict what they might do.
I am also in a similar situation, I am going one night and will have my cards with me so it will not be a problem, but I have also booked tickets for my daughter on another night and I guess that I will have to give her my credit card to make sure that she can get in.0 -
I bought a pair of tickets for my son and am giving him the card on the day along with the print out of the receipt - yes it's a bit of a pain but I'd fully support anything that ( attempts to ) stamp out the touts0
