Disabled Motoring UK foot in mouth

Options
"Top Gear presenters drive into more trouble... this time for using disabled parking bays"

Jim Rawlings, of Disabled Motoring UK, said he was sure that Clarkson 'wouldn't have cared' about parking up in a disabled bay.
He said: 'I'm sure the last thing on Jeremy Clarkson's mind was that he was parked in a disabled bay.
'The abuse of non-disabled people parking in disabled bays is rife, and with people like Jeremy Clarkson and James May doing this other motorists will just think they can just park wherever they like.
'People who are patently not disabled, like Clarkson and May, obviously didn't have a passing care that a disabled person might have needed those spaces.

except...
A spokesman said the show's team did not 'condone parking in disabled bays' and admitted it had cordoned off spaces reserved for disabled motorists, after striking an agreement with the owner of the land, for the segment.

Read the comments as well. Not many people agree with Jim (Helen Dolphin must be on her hols - no doubt paid for by the grannies of the country whose blue badges have fallen off the dashboard)

Maybe Disabled Motoring UK will over look it, if a PPC invoice them for parking there, and donate a bit to them!

Did notice this on Sunday but you can see the car park was deserted!!!

Actually I found it more concerning them using handheld two way radios whilst driving!

They're not mobile phones, in that they cannot transmit and receive at the same time.

IIRC handheld radios are specifically exempt from the mobile phone law because
A: They're not a common problem (so can be dealt with under the same law that mobiles used to be, before every halfwit got one and stated using them whilst driving).
B: Banning their use would cause all sorts of problems for the emergency services, and the like.

That would send the price of his house downwards. The poor guy's having enough problems as it is with a couple of his near neighbours getting arrested.

Why would the fact that Clarkson's neighbours have been arrested cause him any problems.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

House prices! if your neighbours are getting arrested right, left and centre it shows the neighbourhood is going to the dogs.

That restaurant they parked outside looked closed (it was dark inside).
