The Vintage Festival at Southbank - so disappointed

Hello!

I really hope this is the right forum for this.. I wanted a bit of advice as myself and many others have been severely let down by the people responsible for The Vintage Festival.

To cut a relatively long story pretty short, tickets cost a minimum of £60, people bought early after being warned in email updates that it was going to sell out quickly, just to find that in the run up to the festival (in the final week) ticket prices were slashed to £19 or less, some are claiming to have even got in for free.

One day before the festival was set to begin, people on the mailing list received an email stating all of the free stuff to do for non ticket holders, all the free stuff that we all thought we were paying for.

Volunteers with a huge passion for vintage and helping maker this thing a success (who were working for free in exchange for tickets) were poorly organised by the festival and were refused entry to the evening shows and treated with little respect for all their hard work.

I can't help feeling that we have all been taken for a bit of a ride. Last year for £55 per ticket you had exclusive access to everything, this year £60 got you access to a sweaty royal festival hall with not much going on in comparison to the freebies outside. And if you wanted to see the line up where headlined Adam Ant performed a whole two songs, you had to pay even more.

I found this on the Trading Standards website:
Accurately describing goods and services
"The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 prohibit traders from misleading consumers about a product by giving false or deceptive information about a number of matters. To breach the majority of the Regulations, the misleading action or omission must cause, or be likely to cause, the average consumer to make a different transactional decision (e.g. make a purchase which he would not otherwise have made).
Some practices are banned in all circumstances."

Do you think there is anything that can be done to get our money back?

Thanks for any help offered, it's gratefully appreciated :)
