Boots M&S Non Pricing OF ITEMS

Did lots of Xmas shopping online this year. Really frustrated when I did go shopping because more and more I am finding that goods on display are not priced, you either have to ask , or find out at the till.
M&S food dept is the worst. I know they get so busy before Xmas and just pile it all out in a hurry but I would still like to make choices BEFORE I get to the till. Boots also had not priced many of their 3 for 2 products, I still like to know the individual prices of each item. :j
Why so these retailers think we are all going to buy in a frenzy and not bother to look at the prices. At that time of year, it is impossible to get hold of a manager to explain the problem, not fair to mention this to junior staff who are frazzled:mad:
Even in the sales, items are not properley priced. In M&S food yesterday, it was obvious certain items were reduced but you had no idea by how much until you got to the till...I might have bought more!! I know that items are not individually priced anymore and excuses that the shelf labels fell off are pathetic. Boots and M&S are becoming regulars at this, do they know that it is contrary to the law??

Probably (but not everything has to be priced). The problem is that these companies are so big that it is difficult to prosecute (and even if prosecution is successful its simply not cost effective for the company to spend money training etc when it can just pay a paltry fine).Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0

What do you expect? It was Christmas - M&S want to get the shelfs full.
You would have been ranting on about empty shelfs.
What Is worse, empty shelfs with nothing to buy or no pricing tickets?0 -
No pricing tickets. In a lot of cases, it is illegal and misleading. But that just me.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0

Empty shelves...changing the subject? M&S Boots etc seem to happy with a poor standard, do half the job. Stack it all up and don't bother about the price.
On the same note, when you put an item in your basket but find, not what you expected to pay when you get to the till because the ticket on the shelf is wrong.
It is poor management and they seem to get away with it. At the end of the day, it must cost them more in staff time - customers asking the price, items put back from tills because you decide you don't want it.
Next time you are in M&S, see how many items - usually sweets are priced at the till - not many. To me it is an arrogance that stores just expect that you will blindly pay, whatever the price.0 -
I bought some cereal from marks which had a shelf edge ticket saying bogof or similar. When i got to the till the assistant said it wasnt on that offer any more.I went and got the shelf edge ticket and showed her, biding my time politely. She got a Manager and they let me have it at the marked price (if they hadnt of done i would have caused a little fuss till they did anyway)0
