  • tuna or pink salmon fish cakes are nice and freeze well (freeze before frying them though), chicken casserole, sausage casserole, hm pizza (I get the value pizza in tesco for £1 and then freeze; when you want it just thaw and then top it will any leftovers you have and a bit more cheese - it's lovely and would be enough for two adults and a child with enough for a lunch for one the next day). cheese and onion pasties, meatloaf (freeze uncooked and then thaw and cook is better I think), liver and onions/bacon in gravy, veggie lasagne, minestrone soup (really thick with loads of beans and pasta in - just heat up and add parmesan), beff bourginion, diced pork and cider casserole. The only thing I don't do is freeze anything with unmashed potatoes in - for some reason they always go all funny when I defrost them - don't know why!.

  • When sticking the joint in the slow cooker, does it need liquid with it, and if so how much?
    Thanks in advance.
