Hi

Last week on the freebies forum, a voucher code for a free 40x60 canvas print from jessops was on, I was one of the fortunate ones to place an order. This morning I received an email to say that I am not entitled to this due to not purchasing a camera in May, due to this inconvenience they will allow me to have this print for half price? Where do I stand on this? Can I challenge it? If so how? This was not stated in any t&c's. In the e mail they said that the voucher code got on to unauthorised sites. Are they being unfair because of high volumes they have experienced?

Did you personally get sent the email advising the voucher code or did you get it off a site which shared voucher codes?

It's the latter - therefore how can you know what terms or expectations there were for the use of the voucher? If they say you need a camera purchase from May then you aren't entitled.

They offered it for half price, if you want it take it, if you dont want to spend any money on it move on...

Sorry but you tried it on with an iffy code,

It backfired, and you are being offered a discount on the order, either take the discount or cancel the order and get them printed somewhere else.

The retailer is within thier right to cancel the code if it was misused, (And if issued on the purchase of a camera to ask you for Proof of Purchase before honouring the offer)

However, the order went through and I received a confirmation email to tell me when to expect it to be ready.

Oh well too good to be true. never mind!

still a bargain at half price though!
