Which is the best one to use on walls that are already painted but need a fresh coat.

    I think its down to personal preference.

    I use a roller then cut in with a brush round the edges.

    Same here. A colleague paints his walls with a brush because his wife does not like the stippled roller effect. I prefer it. And a roller is quicker.
