I have been with FD since November when I moved my morgage to them. This is an offset mortgage offset against the current account and savings accounts.

Also i have a regular saver with them that is giving 8% interest.

I was very impressed with the change over process and have had no issues since I've been with them.

They have only given me a £500 overdraft but having said that as the current account is gaining interest at my mortgage rate i tend to keep a lot of money in it so its not an issue. Not sure what thier charges would be.

I still run my Halifax current account though as that pays me £5 per month for paying £1000 in each month. Incidently The Halifax charge £1 for being overdrawn.

There are no fees if you use the £250 overdraft facility that everyone has. If you have a higher agreed overdraft, you get charged a small amount of interest. Mine is £1000 and, although I don't use it all the time, on the few occasions where I have, the maximum amount of interest I've been charged is around 70 pence.

Another fan. My daughter transferred her account and there was a mix up, which was no one s fault, resulting in her returning from her hols and her phone bill wasn't paid by her old bank. She had no FD details or card and couldn't ring either bank as her phone couldn't make outgoing calls, so had no way of sorting the problem out! I rang them, and said, "look, I know you can't speak to me, but this is the problem..." They rang my daughter and arranged for her phone bill to be paid straight away, with minimal fuss and then sorted everything else out. They also rang her one Saturday afternoon when she was shopping to check she had her card with her as there were a couple of unusual transactions. She was well impressed!

lol another fan. Although, FD is expensive to use abroad, the iPhone app is brilliant I can transfer money to my Metro Bank account and withdraw fee free at the same moment.

P.S. I'm aware of First directory but still 2.75% when I can pay nothing is too high.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply.

I have a regular saver with Lloyds that expires in November which requires me to hold their current account. Once that matures I'm switching....
