I know that you say you're a new ebayer but I' confused as to why you're concerned about buying a 99p lamp from a buyer with 100% FB, DSR's of 5,5,5,4.9.
Unless there's another unsold lamp that was listed for shed loads if money.
You can't get better than 100%
Probably 1 buyer wasn't happy with the p&p charges.
He looks like an ordinary ebayer, buys some stuff & sells a bit.
I would buy from this or another seller with similar stats.0 -

not sure why it seems odd, unless he's claiming that they belonged to the relatives and they bought them in 1912. The relative could well have been storing stuff for their kids / grandkids etc.0 -
Thanks,
I dont know what all those numbers mean but I take it they are good. I probably will ask him (I assume its a him) its just my sister in law said to be carefull of ebay so I think ive probably taken it too far. Thank you to everyone who helped

DSR's are given by buyers, the highest you can get in any category is 5 so this seller is near on perfect as a seller.
Nothing to worry about at all with him.0 -

I'd learn a bit more about motorcycles :rotfl:
The original Rocket III was made circa 1969-1972 by and was branded as a BSA by the BSA/Triumph factory. This is a rare and much sought after machine amongst classic enthusiasts. It is quite possible that the parts refered to are from this model. The new Triumph concern resurrected the model name under the Triumph brand in 2004. A friend of mine is 74 years old and he rides a modern Rocket III without any problems
Hope that helps as parts from the classic model will NOT fit the newer one0 -
Thanks Happy biker, and what a beauty it was!
My friend Dave had one, it was amazing, I loved it.
My dad used to work at the BSA, he was a toolsetter. He created his own clocking-in machine and used to charge the men 5 bob to use it
The back of where the BSA was, The Ackers, the canal has quite a few old British bikes such as BSA Bantams in, where we used to play 'who can ride to the very top of the really steep hill and back down again' A lot of times, the bike would justr carry on downhill and end up in the cut :rotfl:
Those were the days, I had a little Triumph Tiger Cub that a lad bought me trying to get me to be his girlfriend. I took the bike naturally but never went out with him!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
