not signed tenancy agreement

Please can someone help, I have been renting a property for 2 and a half years, and i renewed my tenancy in January 2010, when it arrived at Christmas 2010 for renenwal for this year, I didnt have the money to pay for it, so I didnt sign my renewal for this year,and then just forgot about it. I am now wishing to leave, so…

This doesn't really answer my first two questions. Do you mean that the fixed term commenced on 21st December 2009? Or did it in fact start on 5th January 2010, and you signed the contract in advance?

I'm also pretty sure that you don't mean the fixed term commenced on 21st December 2009 and ended two weeks later on 4th January 2010.
