  • It's not worth saving a few quid buying knackered VCRs from boot sales when you can get them brand new from Comet,Argos,Woolies etc for under £40 - you can even get VCR/DVD combis for less than £50.

    I've got a DVD recorder & a PVR but I still use VHS quite a lot- it's often more convenient.
    Plus I have quite a few videos that aren't yet available on DVD.
