Transferring from Santander to another bank account

I've just logged onto Santander online banking for the first time in ages to transfer the remaining 99p out of my savings account (I left because they wouldn't allow Faster Payments online).

When I transferred the 99p, it said "This payment should go by Faster Payments"

Lo and behold, within 10 minutes the money had appeared in the other account.


The UK Payments website still says Santander customers can only do it by phone, and I don't know if the £300 limit is still in force.

I opened a new account with Santander a year ago July, 23 phone calls to them in that time, 5 trips to branches and I still don't have the £100 for opening the account! They are the most useless bank on the planet, keep adding bank charges when the account had always been in the black which they "hide". I only saw them when I was in the branch looking at their screen of my account... I am leaving them as soon as possible, wouldn't recommend them if you paid me!!:(

I am expecting a BACS payment from santander to natwest, they told me they made the transfer via bacs on thuersday 25th August so i would of thought with the 3 day rule on bacs this should have shown this morning even with the bank holiday, however no joy any one have any idea when this is likely to hit my account hoping tommorow 31st now (fingers crossed though)
