I listen to music on my phone (HTC) when I'm out, travelling.etc At home it's either laptop (my own music or Youtube) or listen to music channels usually Kerrang, Scuzz, MTV Rocks or Classic.
  • I only listen music on my Nokia phone because I don't have any mp3 or laptop. =)
  • i DJ with vinyl so i listen to music on vinyl more then anything else. looked after vinyl sounds miles better then any other medium imo, but cleaning then will remove most vinyl noise as most is dirt & dust etc

All my music is on an iPod. I'de be lost without it. It goes everywhere with me - work, in the car, on the move. I have a Bose Docking Station in the lounge which replaced my old hifi which takes both mine and my wifes iPod.

My music is sourced from a variety of methods. More often than not I use http://www.comparedownload.com to find the cheapest site to download an album or song from. I try my best to avoid buying through itunes because of the Digital Rights Management on their music.
If it's an older release I am after, I find out the price from the above site and then search for the CD on eBay and see which method works out cheaper. For older stuff, buying the CD this way usually works out for the better. FOr both methods, I usually look the artist and album on Spotify as I am a free user with them and try it first.

Interestingly I have an iPhone but I don't use it for music. I download podcasts on it though as you can access itunes direct from the handset.

I had a free 7 day trial of Spotify Premium earlier which I used mainly on the phone. I really liked it and could see the benefits for only paying out £10 per month. Unfortunately for me I couldn't get my head round not actually having a copy of the music itself, whether that by CD or download. As it would be a luxury item, my fear was that if money was to get tighter then my Spotify subscription would have to go, along with all those albums I had tried. The conclusion I drew was that it was best to buy the album yourself as you only paid once for the album/track and could access it in a variety of ways and not dependent on having a premium account with a streaming site. This view though may change in the future, depending on how my music taste evolves over the years.
Apparently I am the original tight fisted Yorkshire Man!!

@ home - Youtube on my computer / ipod touch with earphones or freeview channel 18 or 21. (4music / viva) Sometimes play mp3 or music video on my computer.

I have a midi system, cassette walkman, loads of radios but hardly use.

Outside - ipod touch music or music videos or stick type mp3 player, both with earphones.

I obtain most of my mp3's via Itunes and Amazon, whoever is the best bargain. Sometimes Tesco/Hmv. Occasionally I rip bargain priced cd's obtained from shops.
  • Am mostly listening to music when at home, so just Youtube songs and line them up to play through computer speakers.

I only buy CDs I know that I want to listen to a lot in the car, and also copy these to put on an ipod, useful four journeys on public transport).
  • spotify premium for the last 2 years, found that some artists e.g. example aren't on it, so Just stream it through youtube
  • I like to be able to hold an actual CD in my hand - where I can afford :rotfl: (and then copy on to my computer and listen to all the CDs in itunes)

Until then I use mflow to listen to music I like - or just remain content with the music I already own.

If I only like a specific song and not an actual band I will be content to download the one track instead of buying an entire album to clutter up my house with.

My partner buys a lot of CDs so I tend to rip a lot of them to my iTunes. They drive me mad though as they clutter up the place! I prefer just having mp3s. If there's anything he doesn't have, I use Spotify but the adverts drive me mad within a few minutes.
  • i use youtube, grooveshark and my ipod.
