In reality we have a bit of a bad patch where no-one has much money for a while. It won't be long before things do return to normal and everyone shuts up about harrowing consequences.
Not many people harp on about a bit of hardship during one point in the 90's these days.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"a bit of a bad patch".
There really is no point with some people.0 -

I think most people stopped caring a loooong time ago.
Very true.
People are desensitized to the concept of a 'billion' now. The crunch and resulting bailouts made sure of that.
If we cast our minds back to only a few years before, there was political outrage at the 10p tax fiasco, and how that was going to cost £3 billion! Shocking.
Mention £3bn to anyone in the street now and they don't even blink. It's financial numbers beyond our comprehension.
I suspect in the US the same is happening with the term 'trillion' :eek:0 -
Has anyone?

What are the reasons why??
Honda and BMW in Swindon shut down for summer holiday. Though Honda still only working 2 day week for a while longer due to component supply issues from Japan.
Gas companies have switched off the production taps due to budget tax raid.
Summer will be a slow down for manufacturing output.
