new sofa look used

i have had new sofas from AHF, one of them has pin holes at the back and the other one has lots of cracks in some areas (arm rest and in the middle) me and partner think one might be an ex-display.

Had some one come in and examin the sofas and they will replace the one with pinholes or offering me £50 vouchers.

But with the other sofa, i was told that its good quality leather or loose leather and thats why its got cracks and its not manufacture fault.

Im not sure if this is correct, dont have much experiance with leather sofas so any help/suggestions appreciated.

Upload them to a photo site (like photobucket), e.g. as an album, then post the link to the album here.

got these from AHF, they were priced at £699 each with a further 10% discount and my friend used her staff discount to get a further 15% off so around £534 for each one

At this price point the makers use all the parts of the cow hide, you have a mixture of belly hide and back hide.these areas of hide relax at different rates.
At a price point of say £1200 the hides are matched and the seat/arm/back areas are cut from the same areas to get a matching overall finish and the spare unused leather is sold to other trades.
That said go back to the retailer and argue that both sofas should look the same and no one explained you would get such a difference
in finish between the two items.

Sale of goods act 1979,The sofas are not of satisfactory quality because the leather on the pair of sofas vary greatly in quality, feel and look between the two sofas.
