Home Phone that connects to your Mobile

Some months ago, I asked in one thread if anyone knew of a home phone which would work with a mobile phone as my mobile reception was awful within my house. I could only make a mobile call stood at the window or outside.
I got no response to my request.
However, I'm please to tell you that there is now a home phone which works with a mobile. It's a Binatone iDECT Link Plus from Argos. It's in the new Autumn/Winter Argos catalogue, and costs £30 for a single or £50 for a twin.
It works like a normal home phone, but you can pair it with up to two Bluetooth Mobiles, and use the home phone to make a receive calls via your mobile phone. It even has a seperate 'Mobile' button for making and answering mobile phones.
I bought one today, and can now make and receive calls to and from my mobile anywhere in the house by leaving my mobile phone in the window near the base station/answering machine. It makes a change to have a phone conversation on my settee instead of leaning into the window all the time.
Full marks to Binatone for this ingenious device. :T:T:T

I'm sure there are others, but you can get a 3G Range extender, which simply connects to your home broadband and extends your reception.
It looks fairly expensive on this one, but I saw a different one (that I can't find now) that wasn't as bad.

Hope this helps anyone?0 -

Hiya,
I have been looking at this phone and it looks good to me, however the feature i am curious about is making and receiving landline calls from my iphone. Are you aware if i would be able to dial a number on my iphone and it would dial using the landline minutes? Also, could i receive an incoming call and answer from my iphone.
Thanks in advance.0 -

Er, No and No. It's good but not THAT good!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
