been to butlins - one of the people we had met there had been to Haven - They reckon there was no camparison - Butlins is more expensive but a million times better0

We have been to Butlins Minehead, we had a short break and didn't go off the site. Just had a week in a caravan at Devon Cliffs, entertainment good. Money wise haven is possibly cheaper, I'd look at the area I wanted to go to and then see whats closer, Haven or ButlinsVisit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

Butlins don't allow dogs on site...
Haven are situated on dog friendly beaches and allow dogs in basic caravans (apart from 3 Haven sites that are dog free)

Been to both with kids and as a kid, haven never got a "look in" after 1st visit as an adult the facilities, standards, accom at butlins was much better but bear in mind that is only my experience....and Havens was so bad I never looked at them again0

money wise go to haven

it all depends what you want from a holiday...some adults and children like the fayre and amusements and other stuff others like simpler stuff such as walking along a beach..
some Havens do have more activities such as rides, and laser combat etc..... you need to look at the star rating of the park to see what facilities / activities it has..
We love haven as the kids love spending all morning in the swimming pool and then are happy on the beach all afternoon building sand castles and paddling in the sea, or fishing in rock pools (haven get our vote as the beaches are dog friendly so dog can spend all afternoon with us on the beach.
We go to the show bar at 6pm for an hour or so free entertainment for the kids (plus it is the only time DH and me get to go to a pub together)
We have never been to Butlins because of the dog - but i would be interested to know what activities are there as the dog is getting old  and there might come a time when we go away dogless..

Been to Butlins, Pontins and Haven. I'd go for Butlins. Might cost a bit more for the booking but I reckon you'd spend more at Haven and not have as good a time.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0
