I've just had an offer accepted

Awww, congrats! Having an offer accepted is a great feeling. Fingers crossed for a nice, straightforward sale!0

shameless bump - only kidding, actually amended original post as don't want to start a brand new thread.
I now have some questions I need help with regarding the property (and I'm not as high as a kite now)0 -
so - from the excitement of my offer being accepted on the 1st of August, the sale is due to complete on the 26th August - fast work isn't it?
Before making an offer I'd already gone to my lender to get an AIP, my solicitor was already on standby and everything was set to just go as quickly as legals allow. When my offer was accepted, I visited the bank to get the mortgage application through in full, it was done within an hour, the survey was obtained and it was fully approved and issued the following day.
So, I finished up work two weeks ago for annual leave, I'm due back tomorrow and in that time I've pretty much moved home. I don't normally have any luck, but now, I feel the tide is turning. Here's hoping it continues to go so smoothly0 -
You must be feeling over the moon!
Only 10 days to go and you will have your home. "Home" is the word.....I hate it when people refer to their home as property!
Are you counting the days, hours and minutes down yet?:snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0 -
Well done, this is how house buying should be lol. You sound very organised. Best of luck with your move and new property.0

ceegee, I've been counting down the days ever since the offer was accepted
this is a new start for me and is going to help open so many more doors to me in the future.
But yes, it's home and I can't wait to be getting the keys to my new home :-)0 -
gazebo, when you are installed in your new home, go over to the threads about buying and selling in "these difficult times", and read some of the hair raising and depressing tales there. It'll make you feel even better (if that's possible!)
I speak as one who has been trying to sell for 10 months!:o
I do wish you every happiness in your new home.:):snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0 -
and so the countdown begins officially. My solicitor has my deposit and has been paid, they are waiting on drawdown of mortgage funds, I've had to arrange insurance as the factor (property manager) doesn't have a common buildings insurance policy and I need to have this in order to satisfy terms of mortgage.
Everything I'm taking, apart from my bed (which I'm sleeping in), my computer and my work clothes are all packed up and ready to go.
So, is it too soon to start counting the hours, given that I'm due to complete on Friday?0
