Recycle your old GHDs and get £15 credit on HQhair.com

HQhair.com are offering £15 website credit for your old GHD hair straighteners....even if they're broken.
First time I've ever seen such an offer, their products are pretty high end but if you've got some broken GHDs then worth a punt.
Fill in a form, post via Freepost and get a credit seven days later.

I got this email too and considered it as although my GHDs still work they are all sellotaped together and have wires almost showing! make sure you compare first though as ghd IVs are £15 cheaper on Amazon anyway.

That's good to know! I'd prob have binned mine when I get my new ones (for Christmas perhaps) but will stick them on ebay now.

Have you thought about sending them off to be repaired? Much cheaper than replacing a broken pair.

Mine still work - it's just that the wires near the actual straighteners are all exposed so have been wrapped with electrical tape, which is coming off and all sticky. I thought I'd treat myself to a pair if the price ever got low enough but I suppose I should just clean them and put new tape over them :)

I meant in general, if you are looking to buy a new pair it's much cheaper to have them repaired than to exchange them for a £15 credit then buy a new pair. Repairs can cost as little as £20.

When my pair were broken (dodgy cabling after about 4 years of use) GHD told me to return them and they sent me a new set free of charge. So it's pretty lucrative for HQhair if that's what they're doing with the old ones.

There is a reputable repair service on eBay I think it's £15 guaranteed repair, I was looking into it a while ago.

i'm sure the majority of ghds that are sold on ebay as 'faulty' or 'broken' are actually fine.....they just need the fuse changed.
