I'm looking for a Panasonic Toughbook for use out and about.
I intend to use it for Navigation, emails, Amateur radio programmes etc.....It will be used in my Landrover - which are not the most friendly of environments for technology!
My question is what spec/machine should I go for?
I CANNOT AFFORD a new one - I see some companies advertising S/H ones....but are they any good?
Can you upgrade then with standard components?
My 2nd choice is a DELL - but protect it in a water/shockproof bag/case?
Anyone got any thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea?

HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
