The Matrix - Re-Evolution!!

Maybe just chuck the odd extra at it when you know you have extra. Once I've paid for the bathroom I'm going to have a long hard look at my finances, decide what to out in savings, what to chuck at the mortgage and what I might want to spend on more work on the house...0

I can only make one overpayment of 5% of the balance a year on my mortgage so I use that as a target and bung as much as I can spare in a savings account each month. Unfortunately I've had to neglect it since being on SSP going on to maternity allowance but once Bob the Bump arrives and I can work out how much he's going to cost me I'll be getting back to this as a priority - especially while interest rates are so low. I think I'm only paying 1.85% on SVR at the moment.0

I think that you ladies and the Mentors are in cahoots BTW.
This morning I was asked to set a big goal - and I chose MFI3 (Mortgage free in 3 years) and then to defend my plans - so we have thrown out 15 and I am left with 25 ideas.
I feel full of juice now

I'm going to look at this bleeding recession as an opportunity instead - low interest rates = time to really hammer the mortgage down.
Me and the Matrixettes are NOT going to be rats that go down on a sinking ship - this is OUR TIME to prove the powers that be that we can't be depressed, recessed or oppressed. We can find our sweet way to a happier life.

Okay I have my steel toe-capped boots on - one to kick MG's bahookie (when required) and the other to kick my own bahookie into gear. Been feeling sorry for myself for the last couple of days so time to pull myself up by my bra-straps:D - exhaustion is allowed; self-pity is not.
We have also been overpaying on the mortgage but are going to ease back on the overpayments just a tad to allow ourselves to breathe.
Have just taken dd to the docs as she has had three severe headaches and nosebleeds in a week and was complaining of irregular heart beats . Poor lass has badly infected sinuses and we have come away with 2 weeks worth of antib's. We have to go to get an ECG but doc thinks that it is most probably due to the iced caramel lattes from Costa that she has recently taken to drinking with her mates - makes sense as up till now she has been a caffeine-free babe, so not too worried now on this score.0 -
Ooooh a Matrix MFI3 challenge - I would be up for that one :j:j:j. Mine would have to involve creating extra income as dh and I have decided we need to free up some funds to allow us to spend a little so cutting back further is not an option.0
