Claire - thought you would have twigged by now that my recipes consist of "use anything that you have in the cupboards".

Country soup mix is lovely with some cubed veggies and ham stock -then a handful of frozen peas thrown in at the end. - Yum!!!

Thanks do I then blend it or eat it as a chunky clear soup??

Off to read the country soup mix on how to cook it lol

It cooks down to something that looks like Scotch Broth - thick n stick to your ribs. No need to blend cos the starch in the grains thicken up the soup lovely.

  • I was so excited to see the progress on the sofa project when I checked on the blog this evening, totally oblivious to all the excitement over here!!!

MG - This is THE BEST NEWS, and you deserve CHAMPAGNE AND CHOCOLATE, and anything else you can think of to spoil yourself. It has only happened because of what YOU have done and it could not have happened to a nicer person ( and I only know you virtually!). I am so happy for you I cannot quite express my feelings, but I feel as if something big is in the air now.

If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

  • WOO HOO! I hardly know what to say ( but I'll give it a go anyway). This thread moves at lightening speed!

MG, you have worked so hard over the past few years and, no doubt, in the years before that. Congratulations on becoming debt free in such a spectacular way.

Can't wait to watch you achieve your MF goal in an equally amazing, inspiring fashion.

Started off with a wonderful gift and ended with a celebration with you all. Perfick as Ma Larkin would say.

Still stunned at the book sales, but !!!!-a-hoop. I shall update my signature when the money arrives in the account.

Now I am gong to press "Submit Reply" - are we taking any bets on whether the dirty word filter takes out "!!!!-a-hoop"??:rotfl::rotfl:
