If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I really don't think I'd be considering paying a solicitor for this. She knows that the money is owed. If she/her dad have missed payments then that is obviously why the loan is more now than what she borrowed. I'd focus on using the money to put towards paying off any arrears rather than paying solicitor fees.
If she digs out her original contract/terms & conditions and requests a statement of account from the creditor/debt collector that should give her all the info she needs to be able to confirm that the balance they are claiming is owed is correct.
Then she either needs to pay off the arrears and continue with normal payments or increase her payments each month. Then the balance will start to come down.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks for your advice.
We are sending a letter out with a request for statement of account. My argument is that when the last debt collector ask her to pay a big chunk of debt to reduce the interest and charges. That what she did at that time but then they sold it straight after and now with the new debt collector the statement shows her original debt with some charges.
Third Debt collector but original amount is still same even though she have paid a lot of money to bank and last debt collector. This is the reason i need some legal advice.
