Happened to me in my old Mk4 Escort on the M6 many years ago.

RAC bloke came, jacked it up about 3 feet into the air while on the hard shoulder and stuck it back together with a bit of pipe, two bolts and some horrible grey gum. All this while the car was sat on it's back right wheel and bouncing between the other two.

Gave him a £20 tip (all I had on me) as that meant I got to actually have my weekend away.

Held together for a good few weeks until I got around to replacing it properly too.

No it was me who posted.

I decatted my Disco years ago and there has never been a problem with the MOT.

If its not there then it cant be tested and what wonderful things that may happen in the future arent really the point.

Unfortunately they are, the cars that can pass the emmision regs without the original cat fitted and after zx0 miles is about the square root of sfa.

OP just repair the godam thing with a new exhaust/cat.

    Rocket science? mad2.gifmad2.gif
