I use these, I have to - sprung mattresses really cause me too much pain. However, because I spend a very large amount of my life in bed, I usually have to save up for a new one every three years, but if you are not in bed for long periods, then it should easily last you double that, if not more. I get mine from here, infact I am going to quote the email they just sent me as you can get another 40 percent off:
Dear xxxxxxxxxx,
This is a courtesy email to let you know we are moving our customer email database on to a new email server. If you no longer want to receive any emails from us please click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Or, reply to this email with "unsubscribe" and we will remove you from our list.
We will be sending monthly promotions and offers and will be starting a loyality scheme soon, so we hope you will stay with us.
We are also moving to new premises shortly, so we are going to be doing a clearance sale on all our stock:-
Quote n40 in the promotional box at checkout this will give you a 40% discount on our New Generation/Evolution range
Quote f20 in the promotional box at checkout this will give you a 20% discount on our Flexcell range.
These mattresses do not come with any free pillows. But, if you wish to order some pillows do so at the same time, and you will also get the discount on the pillow too. This is a one off clearance sale so once they have all been sold on the website the offer will end.
Regards,
Mark & Amanda.

I have had three so far, different ones, if you want advice on which I have had let me know. They are really good, do better than Tempur in tests and are very very reasonably priced. Delivery is good also. Additionally as I have been with them a good few years now, he always gives me discount regardless.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
Memory foam mattresses don't suit me, they can be inflexible, and you need to keep the bedroom warm all the time, for the ones that were available when I looked, anyway. Some people love them, though.
But soft memory foam over independently pocketed springs is bliss. I have a Kaymed one, it's by far the best I've ever had.
I can't really advise on where to buy, as it depends on your local shops.0 -

I get very hot when in bed and suffer with arthritis , my OH wants a memory foam matress but don't they make you hotter in bed if they form around you once you are laid down?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Not if you get the ones with the cool covers, no, no more than a normal mattress, infact the one I have does not have the cool cover on and is fine, they actually keep your temperature level. Take a look at what it says about temperature here http://www.memory-mattress.co.uk/index.php?webpage=evolution25details

I always get 25cms of foam now, I like a deep matress. The flexcell ones are softer (and they were 20cms) than the new Generation ones - both are good though. It doesn't look like they have double Flexell in stock, I would imagine given their discount code, they have been sold very quickly.
This is the one I have

The new Generation they do have 25cms double in
I have not tried the Evolution, but will be getting that one next time. The one I have I got it very cheap, but it is advertised double at £599, if you use your 40 percent code, that is a very good price as it takes it down to £360 or thereabouts.
I can't recommend them enough. They do take a little getting used to. However, I suffer with body pain all over and for me, they are the right thing to use. If your mattress is in good condition, try a topper perhaps?
I do know their service has been brilliant, and, their mattresses are fine“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
Kaymed, King Coil and Healthbeds all make fantastic memory foam products.
Find someone that doesn't offer a 40% off coupon, as they are very over priced to start off with and using sales gimmicks to get a sale.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

The reason for the coupon is they are moving premises so want to get existing stock down before the move. The mattresses are not overpriced, given the foam density, I have used them for a few years and have no complaints.
The importance in memory foam is the foam density - these did better than Tempur on which magazine extensive roller tests, and the density was the same and higher ( more higher density, more expensive the mattress)“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -

Have to agree with you. A hybrid matress is what I find most comfortable...Memory foam over pocket sprung has done wonders for my sleeping and helps greatly with my arthritis.
Don't forget to get the VAT knocked off, this is a purchase for a disability after all. Dreams were quite happy to do so when I bought from them.0 -

Yes they do , I am looking to change ours , I never get a decent nights sleep . Ive been suffering from a bad back and have been told that sleeping posture may be to blame ,so where the mattress molds its self to you , if I am in the wrong position its not helping .

What kind of cover do you have on the mattress and, more importantly what mattress is it?
I have wide and various conditions, including arthritis, and the one I have seems fine.
The only thing that puts me off the sprung with memory foam is if the spring goes - its no good. A full foam mattress does not contain springs.
Again, though, if your mattress is in reasonable condition, then perhaps a memory foam topper is more appropriate and less costly.
Argos have some memory foam mattresses in, some with good reviews. However, wherever you buy your memory foam mattress from, even if it is sprung underneath, I would advise finding out the foam density first.
Anything under 45kg/m3 is not worth bothering with - the higher the number, the better quality the foam (in layman's terms)“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0
