Hi,
Need to design a poster to be printed in A1 size. I usually use microsoft "picture it" to do all my usual stuff and just print from Jpegs
Printed needs and eps file or something in a vector graphic
I have Adobe CS2 but have never used it
Can somebody give me some pointers and a link to a quick easy tutorial?
I have the artwork ready in Jpeg format...I assume it will not just cross over into a vector?
Regards
Pete

Serif DrawPlus will do vector graphics. The latest version DrawPlus 8 does raster to vector conversion as shown in this tutorial but its £79.99 on their website.
They offer a free older version (DrawPlus 4) here and you can download the manual/companion from this page. Probably doesnt do the conversion like later versions but it may do the job and its free. HTH0 -

Just press F1 while in PhotoShop and enter vector graphics into the search box. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Photoshop is the app of choice, widely accepted as being the best graphics package around.0

if you open either indesign or illustrator they have a help tap and they have really good tutorials and also samples to learn from. I would suggest indesign is the program for this job.
Printers also accept pdf if that helps at all.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Photoshop is for images, not for designing. Indesign is page layout, Illustrator is for drawing vectors ie. Logos.
Very useful graphic design forum. You will get help on here and you might be lucky enough to get a design student to do it for you for free

I recently purchased Xara Xtreme and find it pretty good although I am not a professional designer..
