Hi I wonder if anyone could help me with my query. I have one of these accounts and the bonus has now expired. Does anyone know if I could transfer my money to a new issue or whether it is only open to new customers. Thank you for all replies

The money has to come from your "linked account", which is an account with another instituion. So you close the account, transferring the balance to your linked account and open the new account with Saga, if you really want to earn 2.75% gross when you could earn more elsewhere.
In fact, open the issue 2 account with the minimum £1 balance and then close the first one so there is minimum delay.0 -

You could of course do better with PO Online at 3.01% or ING at 3% (although both of these will pay interest monthly, it is back to the account, not paid out to an external account, if that is important to you). For limited withdrawals, but otherwise near instant access and monthy interest paid externally if you want, there is Coventry BS Poppy Online Saver at 3.15%.
Have a click of the banking/saving link in the MSE menu above for options.0 -
Thanks both of you for your replies. I will try ringing tomorrow, I would rather have monthly income going into my linked account, much more convienient and to be honest if they will do this it will just avoid all the hassle of money laundering regs again which seems to take forever. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply.0
