Quiz - Adsa Mango Juice Drink - What's in it.

Just read the side of Adsa's Mango Juice Drink. It's a waxed carton similar to orange. I suspect the key work is drink it the title but see it on the shelf and you think mango juice. There are only pictures of mangoes on the box. And the answer?

Ingredients: Water, Mango Juice (25%), Apple Juice (25%).

So Mango Juice Drink is in fact Mango and Apple Juice.

A heads up for anyone else looking for true mango juice.

You're right, the word 'drink' in the title is the key one - a fruit 'drink' doesn't need to have any real juice in it and indeed most products with the word 'drink' in the name will have a very low juice content. If it says 'juice drink' it'll have to have some juice in it, but again it'll be a pretty low % and not necessarily the sort of juice you expect - most juice drinks do have an apple juice base (even tropicana still lemonade to my surprise!).

Have you ever had pure mango juice? I expect most of what you can buy in shops is a mixed/diluted form because at full strength mango juice would be pretty sickly!

Among other things....like size details perhaps? :rotfl:

I tend to read the ingredients and nutritional information on packaging but in some supermarkets that gets you funny looks from the illiterate locals who don't understand what you're doing!

I made the connection after your post, but in the OPs defence they didn't title the thread 'mango juice scam!' and insist that the store/manufacturer be prosecuted and jailed for it!

Oh don't start that again, i'm surprised the OP from that hasn't started a new one about bananas not being as bent as they once were and we're all being conned as they are now only 30 degrees instead of the industry regulated 32 degrees or some other BS like that.
