I use this folding wheeled case

    http://www.flylite.uk.com/

It is great for handluggage, and when not in use it folds up out of the way. It fits easily into the ryanair cage. Also the case itself weighs very little so it doesn't eat into your luggage allowance.

If you e-mail Mike at flylight and tell him it is urgent he will get it shipped to you the next day (postage is included in the price). If you ask nicely he may also send you a 20% discount code.

PS I don't have any connection with this company apart from being a satisfied customer and recommending them to friends.

i've got a couple of the sports direc ones - no problems with ryanair and they've got a couple of outside small pockets which are useful for putting documents etc in.

but always double check the case in the shop with your own tape measure, best to double check.

Got debenhams ones, delivered this morning for our holiday in September, couldn't risk going over the size:)

And charge you £100 to do it.

(but cheaper with a pre-paid Mastercard)

Hi, could you tell me whether you've used the 16" or 20" dunlop cases? I measured the 20" case up and with the handles and feet it was over the stated size limits so I didn't end up buying it! If I know that you have been able to use it without any problems then I will go back and buy one...

    Thanks :)

I have used the 20" Dunlop case many times on Ryanair without a problem but do not unzip the expander part.

I've flown Ryanair many, many times from various airports, I've never taken a trolley case with me, I've always taken a holdall (not necessarily) the correct size either

a number of times at the gate Ryaniar/airport staff have come along the line, with the cardboard box to check various "TROLLEY CASES" however I have never seen anyone with a holdall no matter what size have there's checked

hope this is not the kiss of death for my next flight

We have two of these. Had to buy them before our last Ryan Air flight 'cause our regular cabin luggage didn't meet their criteria. The RRP is a figment of someone's imagination. They are always £25. Well worth the price, though. Light and sturdy. Had no problems flying from Stansted to Belfast with them.
