Reputable Letting Agents

How to find a reputable letting agent?

I'm aware of Arla. Agents that are a member of Arla hopefully are likely to be better than agents who aren't a member of any voluntary scheme. Are there any other schemes/organisations that if a letting agent was a member would be a guide to their professional ethics?

Thanks in advance.

  • I personally don't think being part of a scheme says much about a company.

I'd ask around your local area for references - bad LAs are well known and talked about in their local areas.

ARLA is the recognised industry benchmark.

It is voluntary membership, I have included a link for you to review their code of ethics and requirements of members. http://www.arla.co.uk/

    Hope this helps
