Rendering options????

There seems to be conflicting claims from manufacturers all claiming problems with others, and that their's is the only one on the market that can be trusted.

Then there's rendering + painting, or coloured render.

Can anyone shed any light on the subject from experience?

Well, what's best, coloured render or render and paint? Silicon, thin coat, cement, polymer......?

Id suggest a through coloured monocouche render, weber, parex,k rend. have a look on there web sites there all different manufactors but the same thing.these are polymer modified and incorporate silicon so rain water is not absorbed and thus allows the wall to breathe at the same time.
to many factors to be fair tho, whats on a present ie existing render? if ita sand cement render and is in reasonably sound cond, look into a thin coat system incorporating a mesh. 6mm thickness.
theres nothind wrong with sand and cement and painting, but the render sector has moved on so much in the last few years, there are far superior applications on the market, as well as insulated systems.
