This thread is designed to give a quick reference to show how quickly peoples claims are being dealt with by HSBC, one of the banks granted an extension to 16 weeks from the standard 8 week complaint timeline

Monday 9th May 2011

My brother called HSBC on Monday and they have given him a "within the next 10 days" with regards hearing about the calculation.

Current position: Awaiting decision. Have received a letter saying I will find out their decision by monday 8th August.

Withheld complaint and also went further back and included accounts I was'nt aware I had ppi on.
Loan had 14 payments remaining so bank have offered to pay the outstanding balance (settlement figure) and pay the rest into my current account.

Hi Guys

I have got a letter offering a settlement for my brother and can see some people on this thread have had offers. Please can you give me ideas as to how the settlements have been calculated and if they have paid interest on it.
